Lifesize Pond Pictures.

Do they have louvre windows in this joint ?

Steppin' out with my babies.

Les quatre Englaises!

Bier pression!

You have to spot 10 differences between these two pictures and send your answer on a postcard.

Les trois soeurs - I don't think we did decide which of us is the grumpy one!

Then after lunch we took a little trip round the Orangerie - these were my favourite two paintings.

The lovely restaurant where we had lunch on Saturday- I had sausage and lentilles!

La Famille Newsome a Lyon!

This picture is ace (if I do say so myself!)

Walking past the Louvre...

Sal and I are quite happy to be in Paris!

It truly is the most beautiful city in all the world.

Nobody told Katie and I about the beige dress code!

Taking a glorious walk along the Seine.

Saturday 20 January

This is a picture taken at brekkie on the Saturday. It is very annoying that it is so fuzzy because this was my outfit plus chic of the whole weekend!

Saturday, 27 January 2007

Sorry no, there's just this last one from Friday evening of the back of Notre Dame as we walked home - soo beautiful.

This picture is most amusing - and that concludes Friday evening! I don't have time to do any more now - but I will add some more of my piccies tomorrow.

Looks like it was after!

Then there was the walk home - I can't remember if this was before or after we stopped for a digestif!

La Famille Newsome a Provence!

One of the bottles consumed at Chez Janou - un air de Famille - how apt!

This picture is lush, although we do both look pretty pissed!

All together now - hoochie mama! The huge bowl of mousse au chocolat that was left on our table - big mistake Chez Janou!

On Friday evening it was Chez Janou, the cuisine Provencale. Mmm mmm... We may also have consumed a bottle or two of vin!
This was actually my favourite meal of the weekend - I had carpaccio of thon for starter and massive tasty gorgeous prawns for my main.
This is what we should do - everyone should post what they had for each meal!
This picture of mum and Sally is ace! It really captures a gorgeous moment, and the spirit of the Newsomes on tour.
It was at this meal that dad presented us all with our silver Orkney pendants - to bind us all forevermore after Katie and I are married and we belong to our husbands!

This one can go on large because it's so lovely!

Hmmm... so sophisticated in Paris.
This posting in time slots business isn't going to work is it? I guess I'll just add all mine and then everyone else can add bits afterwards - the bohemians wouldn't have worried about fitting into time slots anyway!

It what became a regular and very enjoyable habit, we took several aperitifs at the bar round the corner (does anyone remeber the name?!)

Friday Evening

Sally and I arrived at around six (eventually, after her luggage nearly didn't arrive and lots of faffing at Charles de Gaulle) to find Paris looking as beautifully lit up and gorgeous as ever, and mum, dad and Katie already sozzled at what became our local and regularly frequented bar for the weekend. We said enthusaistic bonsoirs at the cafe, then Sally and I quickly took our bags round the corner to our home for the weekend - the most wonderful hotel in all the world - the Hotel Esmeralda.

We then rejoined our famille at the bar, with some catching up to do!

Paris 19-22 January 2007

Bonjour tout le monde! This is a record of the weekend the Newsomes (as they all still are, for a little while!) hit gay Paris for a weekend of food, wine and fun! I think what I'll do is create two posts per day (for daytime and evenings) and then as Sally and mama get their pictures, they can add them to the relevant time slot - c'est bon?! Katie and papa, you should also contribute in the form of witty anecdotes and memories from the trip!
